almost there... almost there...

I have had to make some design concessions, but I think the issue will look good. It's just a little simpler than I'd like it to be.

I am running a tad behind, but am now just linking everything together and should be able to go live by the end of the week once I've written all the editorial content.

Leonard's Mad Death is almost here

I am designing the layout this week, and I have almost all of the editing and creative areas dealt with, though web design is still an arduous task for me. We should be going live on variousdeaths in the first week of July, but it may be as late as the 14th, depending on whether I hit any major walls. I will keep you posted.

I'm very happy with the stories I received, so thanks everyone who passed the word along. It's going to be a pretty thin publication, but I'm really proud of the material I have to work with and I hope I can do it justice.

new home in sight

Links are up for submissions and for the site that will one day be a beautiful home, with curtains--for now it's basically just a URL.

"Mad Death" - How will I go?

Tsunetomo Yamamoto instructs to conduct oneself with a frenzy of "mad death," and also advises a man to die anew every morning and every evening. The Samurai, despite conceptions to the contrary, were no symbolists.

My name is Leonard, and I am going to die.

How will I go? Compose your submission for the Spring/Summer '09 issue. There will be a link up for submission guidelines soon, if it is not already over to your right. LMD is still under construction, and hasn't yet got a permanent home on the www. Links and updates will abound.

With any luck, we will discover how I die before it is too late for me to let you know.
